Brigette Kutschma
Supervising Attorney
Attorney Kutschma is a humanitarian-minded advocate with a passion for empowering individuals in their pursuit of the American dream. Her immigration law practice is currently focused on assisting clients with Consular Processing.
Although a Wisconsin native, immigration has greatly impacted Attorney Kutschma's life, as her immediate family members are naturalized immigrants. Further, she understands the sacrifices and determination that immigrants embody through her experiences teaching hundreds of ELL students.
In 2002, she graduated from Marquette University Law School. She practiced criminal defense law as an Assistant Public Defender in Walworth and Rock Counties, representing juveniles and Spanish-speaking clients. In 2020, after taking some time off from the law to raise her three children, Attorney Kutschma reinstated her Wisconsin Law License.
Attorney Kutschma received the 2020 COABE “Educator of the Year” award for her efforts teaching and empowering English Language Learners. For over 15 years, she has been an integral part of the Walworth County Literacy Council, serving as a Board Member, Coordinator, and ESL/Citizenship Tutor. She led the initiative to establish the acclaimed Walworth County Jail Literacy Program, and has taught adult ESL learners for many years. She was recently elected to the Geneva Lakes YMCA Board of Directors, and is an active volunteer in the schools and community.
Ms. Kutschma cherishes time spent with her husband and three children. She also enjoys running, Zumba and cheering on the Milwaukee Brewers.
