IMPORTANT: We have an update on a USCIS policy memo reported on earlier this month.

USCIS has for now postponed implementing its guidance directing officials to issue a Notice To Appear (or NTA, the first step in deportation proceedings) to all applicants whose denied petition left them without lawful status. We will keep you updated if/when USCIS plans to move forward on the policy.
